The Wooly Bugger is one of the most famous patterns worldwide and has without question been one of the most catching trout streamers for many years. Countless brown and rainbow trout fall for this imitation of a small fish or a leech every day. Strictly speaking, there is not the ONE variation of the Wooly Bugger, but numerous interpretations of this basic pattern are in circulation and every fly-tier has its own preferences. But what most wooly buggers have in common is a fluffy body puff that has several functions: Firstly, it enlarges the silhouette of the streamer without making the fly bulky. On the other hand, the soft feathers have a pulsating action in the current and thus address the lateral line organ of the fish even better - because strictly speaking the Wooly Bugger is much more than a trout streamer. Depending on color, size, and weight this classic can be used for all predatory fish species.

The Fly Company Cock Hackles Badger offers the best basis for tying a catching Wooly Bugger. Because these feathers are ideal for a pike in terms of length and fluffiness. The choice of colors leaves nothing to be desired and allows many great creations on the tying vice. The Badger feathers form a particularly high contrast in the water due to the black stripe in the feathers.

Besides the use as a pike for wooly buggers and related streamers, these feathers can of course also be used as tails or flanks - e.g. for pike streamers, huchen streamers, or even streamers for use in saltwater. Due to their soft texture, the feathers are also suitable for closing off salmon or sea trout flies. Many different coastal flies benefit from the soft, beautiful hackle.

Simply and simply a very Universelle's binding material with a great price-performance ratio!
